On the 24th March, Westward Ho! Youth Theatre (WHYT) performed at The Pier House as part of the WHAAM Junior Showcase in aid of the RNLI.  Audience members were treated to two songs from its next show this July, Fiddler on the Roof Jr., and some of the younger members performed Naughty from the musical Matilda.

Pat (Hughes), Chair Appledore RNLI Fundraising Guild, commented, “On behalf of the Appledore RNLI, I would like to say what a marvellous evening of entertainment, from so many talented local young people. It was a real treat to hear them and to witness so much enthusiasm from them. We are proud to be associated with this lovely event. We would also like to say thank you for the money raised for our local Lifeboat.”

John Barton, organiser of WHAAM JR, was full of praise for the hard work and dedication by the Westward Ho! Youth Theatre members. “They started the Youth Session full of zest and enthusiasm which was very well received by an audience of over 100 proud parents and others.  We wish WHYT all the very best in their next production of ‘Fiddler on the Roof’.”

Northam Mayor's Show
Northam Mayor's Show
We were asked to perform at the Northam Mayor's Show recently. We have had quite a lot of new members recently and this was a first time outing for a lot of them. They gave it their all and we couldn't be more proud of them all.

Look what we did for Bideford's Wicked Week:

We were asked to perform at the Performers Strike Back concert outside of Ilfracombe's Landmark Theatre on 11th February. Many local theatre/song/dance/acting groups performed on a temporary stage to raise awareness of the Save North Devon Theatres and we were privileged to be part of this.

Westward Ho! put on a Fish Festival on 3rd-5th June 2016 and as part of the Community, Westward Ho! Youth Theatre (WHYT) got involved and put on a spectacular couple of performances.  Soloists and duets performed songs from musicals such as Frozen and Les Miserables.  The groups songs included the uplifting and fun Master of the House from Les Miserables and also The Munchkin Song from The Wizard of Oz that WHYT will be performing on 25th & 26th June and 2nd & 3rd July.  Here is a picture of the day:
